Fuck me, i have to deal with some cunts. i might have mentioned it before, but recruitment agents are scum, but they are scum i have to deal with to get contracts. why firms use them is beyond me. hopefully tools like linkedin make recruitment agencies extinct. cant happen soon enough. 

am currently dealing with someone at an agency is who is so thick and yet so patronising. despite this being my 14th contract, she gave me a 30 minute interview prep and asked me if was planning on wearing a suit and shoes to the interview. i replied that was a good idea and i might not wear my jeans and a t-shirt this time.  

she then gave me some set questions to ask in the interview which were terrible. i said i would not ask those questions in the interview. she seemed offended and asked why?. because its unprofessional and makes you look like a dumb ass to ask the person interviewing you, to give you feedback on how the interview went, at the end of an interview. that's why?. 

anyway, i got the job today despite not using her dumb interview tips. today she calls me to say i should BCC her in emails that i send to other agencies cancelling other job opportunities and interviews i had lined up. what the fuck!!!?. after 10 minutes of angrily protesting how unethical it was to blindly copy her into emails with competitors revealing confidential commercial information, she said she would get her director to speak to me as it was vital she was bcc'd for the offer to be accepted. yeah!, put another idiot on the phone, i want to hear what this prick has to say. 

some slimy shit then comes on the phone and tries to justify it. i then explain once again how unprofessional and unethical it is to share commercially sensitive information from rival agencies without their knowledge. he then asks me to just forward the emails, redacting the names of clients and the agents and the agencies. OK. what is the fucking point of that you halfwit. 

i then sent back a redacted email which i might as well have written to myself which deleted the name and email address of the agent i sent it to, his firm and the client i had been put forward for was also deleted. the mail contained no information aside from saying "i no longer wanted to pursue the role". i might as well have sent the director this blog post as proof. dumb ass!.  

anyways, it seems to be going through now. we need to take care. out integrity is really all we have. people try and buy our ethics and morals. there are lots of sharks and maggots out there trying to push people into doing shady things just for money. 

dont like

i tend to post about the cunts i come across living in london but there are some people in this city that i respect and admire and which show how nice and decent human beings can be to each other.

a couple of weeks ago i am parking up at a shopping center. a car cuts across me and pulls into a disabled bay which are right next to the entrance. a middle aged woman around 45, steps out of the car and i assume her daughter who looks about 18, gets out the passenger side and they walk into the centre. neither was disabled and they were related. they had a resemblance and they both looked like cunts. 

about a week ago i was in a clinic getting an immunisation injection done for my little baby boy. there was another woman there who was waiting to have the same done for her son. her little boy had a severe head deformity and also seemed to have some respiratory difficultly as well. i think he might have also had an issue with his eyes. it was upsetting to see such a little baby have to deal with such serious medical problems but the little boy was also showing spirit in still making it through his first few months of life despite all these difficulties which will likely last for the rest of his life.
i also have immeasurable respect for the way his mother was looking after him and how challenging it must be to look after the little man on a daily basis. they both have my admiration. wonderful people supporting each other and the force of will and strength of the little man to deal with his severe medical conditions. i have been thinking of that little boy every day since i saw him.

i have also been thinking of the woman and her teenage daughter who parked their SUV in the disabled parking bay and then walked into the shopping center. you have my utter contempt you cunts. those spaces are for people like the little baby or for those that would find it difficult parking in a multi storey car park 40 meters from the entrance and where they would have to take a lift to reach it. 
that cunt and her cunt daughter dont care about people that might have some physical impairment. fuck them, we are more important. the section they parked in is disabled parking only. its not like its a mixed zone and they made a mistake. there are no non-disabled badge holders parking in that area. its 20 spaces on ground level right next to the entrance. middle class scum in their 40 grand SUV parked in a disabled bay shopping in John Lewis. 

PS: today i was at a supermarket, parked in parent/baby/toddler zone, because i have a baby and a pram with me. a man pulls up next to me in his range rover and gets out. his 2 daughters are with him and they get out as well. neither are toddlers or babies and they obviously dont have a pram. they were about 10 and 8. he was wearing a tight pink t shirt and tight jeans. he looked about 50 but dressed like he was in jersey shore. he might have even had a fake tan. what a cunt.

audi cunts

see, i told you people who drive low end audis are cunts.

i was driving back from the gym and someone suddenly braked in front of me to take a left turn. i had noticed that they had been driving erratically and i dont think they knew where they were going. no problem. i braked as well, but the audi A4 behind me got upset and started beeping at me. obviously i should not have stopped and just crashed into the car in front. 

then after the car in front had made its turn, the audi started tailgating me and then overtook aggressively passing close. he was very annoyed.

it was a dark coloured 2009 audi a4 estate diesel. i would be annoyed if i had to drive around in a 10 year old piece of shit like that as well. i would be angry that i would have to pay 12.50/day surcharge to enter central London in that piece of crap. i would be angry with myself that i did not work harder in school so that i could get a better paying job that would mean i could afford a decent car. 

.....and maybe it stung more that despite the benefit of systematic and institutional racism, he got momentarily held up behind the child of immigrants driving a Benz. reap it you cunt.

had an interview a couple days ago. the recruitment agent called me the day before to just talk through the role and also to say that the manager that was interviewing me was hard to hear and mumbled and did not finish sentences. what???!!!.

anyways, i went to the interview and he was exactly right. i had to lean forward every time he spoke and strained to hear what he was mumbling. its one thing to ask someone to speak a little louder, but its awkward to ask someone to speak clearer and pronounce words properly. he spoke like he was a ventriloquist and barely moved his mouth. there were a few times when i did not hear what he said, which explains why i got a call today saying i did not get it.

he was a bit of a dick. he did that shitty thing of asking me an obscure question that he had clearly googled before the interview, about what the minimum required bandwidth is to use VMware Fault tolerance to replicate a 4vCPU machine to another site. i said i did not know, to which he replied i should seeing as i hold the certification. prick.
he then said the answer, which i was not able to hear, and then said, not many people have links that fast anyway. OK. so you just ask me an irrelevant question on a technology that you are not using anyway. what was the fucking point of that?!.

he also kept going on about PCI (payment card industry) compliance and if i had worked anywhere that used it. i said i had not, to that standard specifically, but had worked in plenty of hedge funds and investment banks that were very strict on compliance and security and which were always being audited and checked. he seemed unimpressed and dismissive that other organisations could use their own strict compliance standards that were more stringent that he did.
all that false confidence was all undone later in the interview when he said they still ran windows 2003 and when i asked him if they had extended support and patched it, he said they did not. i asked him if he was concerned about wannacry viruses and other exploits that had recently been used to target servers and he said he was not. ifyour compliance standard allows you to use 14 year old unpatched operating systems them it is fucking weak.

went round to a friends place to try and sort out some issues they had with their Apple mac. not used a mac in a decade and it reminded me why. they are shit. no wonder they started making telephones, because if they were just a computer company, they would have disappeared long ago. their computers are wack. 

beeped at again

drove to the gym 3 times last week. twice in the big new car, once in the little old car. got beeped at in the little car, and not in the big car. 
the person behind me was annoyed that i did not jump the red light and stopped. i say person, because i could not see if it was a he or a she in my rear view mirror as their head was barely visible above the steering wheel. it was probably a guy. it really is an eye opener to see what women have to put up with. 

this guy has joined my gym and its fucking ridiculous. he actually looks like this in real life. his skin is like tracing paper and you can see the fibres in his muscles through his skin. you cant help but stare when he comes in. it looks so beyond anyone else i have seen. 

even in those youtube training videos of phill heath or other body builders, they look a bit puffy when training and then they dry themselves out in the week before competition. this guy appears to be permanently at competition level and never puffy. oh and he is 50!. 

would love to be built like and have people beep me and be aggressive. you step out of the car looking like that and i bet everyone would shit themselves. 

to be fair, he does not show off and walk around with his shirt off or flexing in the mirror between sets and trying to chat up all the women. he stays on his apparatus and silently does his sets over and over and over again. when he works on a section of muscle, he hammers it repeatedly and hard.

men in their cars

i own 1 car, but i have an access to another car which i also sometimes drive. my car is a large moderately expensive german saloon car and the other car is a small cheaper car. the large car is the type of executive saloon usually driven by men, whereas the other small car is the type of car usually drive by women. 

because my gym is towards central london, i usually take the small car. its better to drive in the small traffic clogged roads and its easier to find a parking space. i think its a very good and practical city car. it does not show other road users how large my cock is, or how wealthy i am, but its a good car. 

i am a slow careful drive and i have noticed something interesting. whenever i take the big car, i dont have any problems or issues, but whenever i take the small car, i get constantly beeped at, and get assholes driving aggressively behind me. it must be because of the car, because i drive the same way in both. 

a few weeks ago, an uber cab got close behind me and staring honking his horn. further down the road i stopped at a light and he pulled alongside. he looked across at me and i am pretty sure he was not expecting to see a man driving that car and was probably not expecting the volley of abuse i was shouting at him. needless to say, he did not say a word and drove off hastily as the lights changed.  

yesterday a similar thing happened only this time it was a van driver. pulling up really close behind me and being aggressive. i am pretty sure, he did it because of the car i was in. what must it be like for women driving and having to put up with that shit all the time. i only have to put up with it a couple times a week and have the benefit of being able to shout abuse back at whoever it is. anyway, i deliberately slowed down and drove at 18 mph and slower than the traffic ahead of me all the way down the road and while he was behind me. oddly enough, he seemed to be getting more and more irate. fuck you, you cunt. you cant intimidate me. not only that, i will drive slower just to annoy you more than you already were.
