finished

i finished up at my work on friday. didn't do any work but i hadn't done any for the last couple of weeks since i finished my project, so i was hardly going to get stuff to do on my last day. said goodbye to a few people. my boss called me up and wished me luck and asked me to give him my details in case they get something come up in the new year once their budgets have been approved.

actually chancer who had been told he was staying got told that he might actually not be staying because of the budget not being approved when they thought it would be, and so they were letting all the contractors know so instead of giving them a suprise in the new year. chancer was not very happy. his cash cow of a job, which involved going to breakfast for an hour in the morning, going the gym for an hour and a half at lunch time and then spending the rest of the afternoon chatting to random people in the office as well as billing 2 days on a saturday for a doing work that shouldn't take more than 2 hours, is in jeapordy. hope all that ass kissing comes in handy because you will struggle to get that much money based on your skills. harsh but true.

had a quiet weekend. weather was filthy yesterday. it had snowed during the week, but yesterday it was a couple of degrees above freezing and so all the snow turned into a dirty grey slush and it was raining yesterday as well, so it was horrible. went to the gym today and will be going during the week as well. it was a lovely crisp cold and bright day and all the slush has disappeared so it was lovely weather to cycle in.

have also downloaded some films that i wanted to see, and that will be keep me occupied as well over the next few weeks. gym, films, reading, cycling. i ain't gonna want to go back to work in the new year. actually the other good thing about the gym is that some new girl has joined is she is fantastically good looking. she must be a model. there is no way she isn't. she looks a bit like the girl that does paints the forged paintings and who was hanging around with pierce brosnan in the film the thomas crown affair. i believe the technical description is that she is hotter than a firecracker on the 4th of july.

today i have mostly been listening to the subways - rock and roll queen.
